In a part of a message on July 30, 1987 Our Lady said "Prayer is the only way to save the human race." in other messages we are told the rosary can suspend natural law and even stop wars. In fact it is a well known fact that the seventh secret has already been mitigated through prayer Did you know:Our lady tells us through the visionaries that there are different levels of purgatory. The lowest levels are closer to Hell and the highest levels closer to Heaven. And contrary to belief Our Lady also tells us most souls are released from purgatory not on all saints day but in fact Christmas Day. Did you know: The present parish was founded in 1892 and dedicated to St. James the Apostle who is recognized as the protector of pilgrims. Did you know: Cross Mountain or Mount Krizevac as it is known was built in 1934, March 15th to be exact. it was built in remembrance of the 1900 years since the death of Jesus and stands 520 meters above Medjugorje There were Relics received from Rome for the occasion which are embedded in the cross. and on August 30, 1984, Our Lady said: ?The cross was also in God's plan when you built it.?Did you know: Padre Pio recieved the five bleeding wounds of Christ, he entered the Capuchin novitiate in 1903 and in 1910 joined the priesthood. famous also for gift to bilocate( to be in more than one place at once) he was also famous for healings. Born on may 25th 1887 he died on 23rd September 1968 aged 81. He was loved by millions and at his funeral over a million people turned up for his funeral, people still love padre pio and people often look to padre Pio for his intercession.
Did you know: The beautiful white marble statue of the Queen of Peace, which stands outside Saint James at the square in front of the church, is the work of Dino Felici from Italy, and was put up in 1987.
Did you know: Outside Saint James There were Twenty-five confessionals, built in 1990 and restored in 2001.
Did you know a bronze statue of the Risen Saviour was put up for Easter 1998. Behind Saint James Church. Since that time it has started exuding a water like substance from the right Knee area, people quite rightly find it extraordinary that a solid metal like this bronze statue should weep, many hundreds if not thousands visit each day to see such an incredible site.
Did you know: that the name Medjugorje is of Slavic origin and means between two mounts it is 25km from Mostar Did you know Zeitoun, a district of Cairo, Egypt. Is noted for its Marian apparitions. apparently millions of people witnessed it, over a couple of years. Just put the word Zeitoun into Google search. There is lots of information on it, It was witnessed by people of all faiths including President Abdul Nasser. Did you know: Our Lady appeared 140 years ago to Bernadette Soubirous of course now saint Bernadette, on February 11th 1858 Did you know that Saint Bernadette Soubirous died in 1879 and her body is still complete as if she were asleep or incorrupt as the term is known.
